Good food, fair price, clean restaurant. Tenderloin was awesome. Would recommend.

Um... I like the place a lot. However frugal minded you happen to be there is something there for everyone. A kind quiet place to have a healthy and delicious breakfast.

Really good fried pickles, and the tenderloin was huge! Great food and a good price for how much you get.

This restaurant is spotless! The waitress was fast and very friendly, food is prepared after you order so it's fresh and very tasty!My wife and I had breakfast and we're very impressed as the food is hot and delicious! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!If you are a fan of railroad memorabilia you won't be disappointed here!

The tenderloin was outstanding! Maybe the best I've ever had! My wifes Reuben was amazing, and the homemade pies were delicious too!

Definitely a neat place - great decorating. The food is awful. I had read the reviews and decided on Comfort Food. I ordered Pork Chop, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans and a roll. What a mistake! I pictured a Center Cut Pork Chop but got a cut that I would never buy-all fat and bones! The potatoes were edible with congealed gravy, the green beans were swimming in liquid from the can, and the roll was ripped out of a package and served cold. My friend ordered a pork tenderloin sandwich with fries. A much better pick than mine. It came with a small bun and a grisly tenderloin. The fries were good! My review: well, maybe a great place to get a Pepsi (no Coke products) and look at the decor!

Really neat little place. The train decor was cool. Good prices and good food. Had the burger on a Donut. Excellent! My wife had the Grissom. Good as well.

Stopped by this place while out on the motorcycle. It's a no frills diner with decent food and large portions. It's worth stopping by if you're ever in the area.

Ordered the tenderloin and it was indeed huge! Onion ring sauce was very yummy!

Food was delicious, prices good. The wait for the food was long despite the fact there were only a couple other customers. I only saw one server and one person in the back who was apparently doing everything. Nevertheless, I'd return.

I love it here!! Its always a treat to stop by for a REAL meal. Perfect portions and delicious desserts! Service has always been amazing. Found it by accident but now we stop by every time we are in mitchell.

Service was great. I had country fried steak, potatoes, and green beans which were delicious. Washed it down with an Arnold Palmer(sweet tea and lemonade mixed) which was mixed perfectly and it never went empty. Then I topped it all off with a slice of apple pie and a scoop of ice cream. Overall very satisfied and I will certainly go back and try something else that I'm sure will be good as well. With the lunch specials and all that is on the menu the only issue with this place is deciding what that will be.

Wow! This little restaurant is amazing! Yes, I ate my homemade raspberry pie first!!! EVERYTHING made from scratch! This is one tenderloin! Below is my small bowel of vegetable soup! Must go! Get the cornbread to take home!

We were staying at Spring Mill and found this gem in Mitchell. We had breakfast both days. Food and service were both awesome!

Excellent place to eat,everything we ate was delicious!!,😋and their strawberry rhubarb pie was delicious. All the people that work there and the owners are super nice their prices are very affordable and it's a must to try their delicious tenderloins 😊

What a great family restaurant! We were camping at Spring Mill (visiting from Maryland) and decided to have lunch in Mitchell. This was the best food I've had in a long time, even better than pricey food in NYC. The tenderloin was the largest I've ever seen, and breaded just right. The service was great and the atmosphere perfect too. Totally five stars from us!

Every thing about this place was great when I was there. Great down home atmosphere, great prices, great food, and well-proportioned servings for the prices. I didn't find any item on the menu that was over priced. The workers was chatty and friendly. It's too bad I live about 70 miles away. If I lived closer this would be one of my more frequently visited places.

My son is a train fanatic so I took him here on our most recent road trip. Excellent customer service and great food.

We stopped in there yesterday, had lunch along with 5 of our grandchildren. We were immediately seated, immediately waited on, and served quickly even though there was seven of us. The waitress was fabulous, polite and very accomadating. All enjoyed their food. We had two of the tenderloins and they were among some of the best that we have ever had, anywhere. If you are in.or near Mitchell, In stop in for a great meal.

Probably the worst meal we have ever had. Ordered the marinated grill pork chop special. It was the cheapest cut of chop. I expected a nice center cut. This so fatty we could not eat. The green beans were cooked to mush. And the room was cold that we needed our coats. Very poor, sad we had to pay for a meal that most would be ashamed to serve.

Large portions and good food. Fair prices. We stopped for lunch and had the fried chicken.. huge piece but not much flavor. Green beans were very good as was the mashed potatoes. My hubby had the Salisbury steak was good.. but more like a hamburger. Still food for the price

We just had the best food!! Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans that tasted like Mom used to make in her farm kitchen. My husband said his beef tips were delicious too. The dessert array made it difficult to choose! The service was efficient and friendly.

Best Breaded Tenderloin in Indiana. That's saying a lot for a state that is recognized for this culinary treasure. Also, had great service from Casandra. Great food, great people!

Obviously not a place to go to for Sunday lunch. 1 minute to clean us a table, 1 minute to get drinks and take order. 45 minutes later informed one of the requested meals was unavailable. 25 minutes later 2 of 3 meals delivered. 10 minutes later 3rd meal delivered. Only saving grace was the food was hot.

Just a small town diner with family style comfort food. That says a lot to me and makes me happy. Sitting on Main St. in old downtown Mitchell, it seems to cater to locals since it is off any major highway. I had the special of the day: meatloaf with mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans (and I added corn), and a roll. It was all well prepared and played well. The small staff was friendly. The only fault was a failure to refill my drink. I didn't have a dessert, but the cakes and pies looked delicious.
